I am Max, a winegrower by passion. I learned my profession not only at our family estate, but also during my studies in San Michele and Geisenheim, and through various internships in other wineries. The main motivation to make my own wine came during my time in France. There I understood how to make great wine: you have to trust in your own vineyards and especially in yourself.

I am always looking for the right balance. In the vineyard, between soil, vigour and quantity of grapes. In the wine between acidity, tannin and body. In my life between commitment, creativity and fun. It sounds simple, but it's not. That is why sometimes you have to turn things upside down and reflect to see them clearly.

Wines with character: these aren't just words, this is my credo. I don't want to force my wines to wear a dress that doesn't suit them. They can naturally develop their personality - I simply assist them along their path.
